CellCircle Won 1st Place on Energy Start-up Bayern!

We are thrilled to share a proud achievement by our ReUse project partner, CellCircle, who have been awarded 1st place at the prestigious Energy Start-up Bayern competition. Their innovative approach to direct battery recycling stood out among 66 exceptional entries, showcasing their leadership in driving research and innovation in the battery recycling field.

This international recognition highlights the critical importance of sustainable practices in energy storage and recycling technologies. With CellCircle’s cutting-edge solutions, the path toward a circular economy for batteries becomes clearer, helping to secure a greener, more sustainable future.

The competition was an inspiring platform for innovation, organized by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bayern Innovativ , BayStartUp GmbH, Bayernwerk AG, the Association of the Bavarian Energy and Water Industry (VBEW) and Verbund AG. The event featured brilliant contributions from participants and honored projects that demonstrated transformative potential in energy innovation.

A heartfelt congratulations to the second and third place winners, tozero and Qkera, whose work in metallurgical recycling and solid-state electrolytes reflects the dynamic growth of this field. Together, we shape the future of a circular battery economy in Bavaria, Europe, and beyond.
