The Second Young Scientist Event
On 3 June 2025, the Second Young Scientist Event (YSE) will bring together early-career researchers and innovators from across Europe to share ideas, network, and explore the frontiers of battery research. Organised by the BATTERY 2030+ initiative, this virtual event continues to build a vibrant and engaged community of young scientists shaping the future of sustainable energy storage.
The ReUse project, which focuses on direct recycling and advanced battery material recovery, is proud to support this dynamic forum for the next generation of experts. The YSE offers a unique opportunity for PhD students, postdocs, and young professionals to present their research, interact with leading figures in the field, and engage in meaningful dialogue with peers from academia and industry.
Participants can look forward to an interactive programme, including keynote speakers, project flash presentations, and breakout sessions aimed at discussing challenges, opportunities, and innovations within the battery ecosystem.
By contributing to initiatives like the YSE, ReUse and its partners reaffirm their commitment to not only advancing technical solutions in battery recycling but also promoting the talent that will drive Europe’s sustainable energy future.
