Two Upcoming Events by BATTERY2030+ Partners

As the field of battery technology advances, we are excited to highlight two upcoming events organized by our Battery 2030+ partners. While the ReUse project will not be attended, we are happy to share these opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research and collaboration.

European Workshop on Battery Interfaces

High-Resolution Techniques and Multiscale Modelling

The European Workshop on Battery Interfaces will take place on 3–4 April 2025 at the Rectorate of the University of Cordoba, Spain. The event will focus on exploring the intricate physical and chemical processes occurring at electrode-electrolyte interfaces, which play a crucial role in determining the performance and lifetime of rechargeable batteries.

Key topics include:

  • High-resolution experimental techniques, such as TEM, XRD imaging, and X-ray tomography.

  • Multiscale modelling methods to explore interfacial phenomena and multi-physics interactions.

  • Insights from Horizon Europe projects:

    • OPERA: Advancing solid-state batteries by tackling anode-electrolyte interfaces.

    • OPINCHARGE: Investigating dynamic processes and charge transport in Li-ion batteries.

Li4Life and Battery 2030+ Clustering Initiative

CRM and Batteries: state of the art and future development on technology and sustainability

The workshop on "CRM and Batteries: Technology and Sustainability" will be held on 11 March 2025, from 9:30 to 16:00, at Oviedo University in Spain. This event will bring together representatives from academia, industry, and the private sector to discuss the current state and future developments in critical raw materials (CRM) and battery technology, with a particular emphasis on sustainability.

Key highlights:

  • Presentations from BATTERY 2030+ projects: CICERO, STREAMS, and Li4LIFE.

  • Business opportunities in collaboration with Latin America.

  • A poster gallery showcasing innovative research projects.

  • Networking opportunities and a visit to the Asturias Raw Materials Institute.
