RTR Conference with Battery 2030+
The ReUse project was proud to take part in the 8th Road Transport Research (RTR) Conference, held from February 11–13, 2025, in Brussels, Belgium. This premier event brought together 400 participants, including researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders, to explore the latest developments in EU-funded road transport research.
Throughout the conference, 26 sessions featuring 100 expert speakers addressed key topics such as Green Vehicles, Intelligent Transport Systems, Logistics, and Urban Mobility. As a project dedicated to sustainable battery recycling and materials recovery, ReUse contributed to discussions on the future of battery technologies and circular economy solutions for road transport.
Thanks to our colleagues at BATTERY 2030+, ReUse was featured at their booth alongside other sister projects, strengthening collaboration within the initiative. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with Guinevere Giffin from Fraunhofer ISC, who represented ReUse in person, discussing the project's role in extending battery lifespan, improving material recovery, and minimizing environmental impact.
The RTR Conference continues to be a key platform for knowledge exchange, helping ReUse connect with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and fellow researchers working toward a greener, more efficient transport sector. Events like these underscore the importance of EU-funded research in shaping the future of sustainable mobility.
