2nd Consortium meeting in Serbia

Subotica, Serbia, became the centre of the ReUse 2nd Consortium Meeting on October 16 - 17, 2024, organized by our esteemed partners ElevenEs. The consortium partners gathered for two productive days filled with collaboration and insightful presentations showcasing the progress of our project.

The first day began with a warm welcome from Marco Schott from Fraunhofer, who set the stage with an engaging overview of the ReUse project. Then, the meeting dived into a series of presentations covering battery waste supply and sorting, cell deactivation, communication, and innovative exploitation strategies.

As the day unfolded, attendees got a tour of the ElevenEs facility. This production site, dedicated to crafting high-quality LFP prismatic cells, impressed all attendees. The tour also showcased how the facility promotes sustainable production through renewable energy sources like hydro, wind, and solar power. The day was wrapped up with lively discussions of preliminary results and teambuilding activities during a networking dinner that fostered deeper connections.

Day two began with a General Assembly meeting with representatives from all partners. It was an excellent opportunity to share updates and exchange insights into direct recycling processes. The meeting wrapped up with a motivating summary provided by Marco Schott, leaving participants with a clear path forward.

Thanks to ElevenEs for hosting and all partners for their invaluable contributions. The meeting highlighted the partners' commitment and hard work to ensure the ReUse project's ongoing success.
