Dr. Simon Clark is a Senior Research Scientist at SINTEF, specializing in the intersection of battery science and digital technology, where he develops machine-readable ontologies and virtual environments to enhance human-machine collaboration in battery research. With a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, he transitioned from the European spaceflight industry to the battery field in 2012, later earning a doctorate in Computational Electrochemistry from Ulm University in collaboration with HIU and DLR. Since 2018, his work at SINTEF in Trondheim, Norway, has focused on linking battery data into the Semantic Web to accelerate battery innovation.
